A3. Nuclear Arms. This exhibit displays replicas of the casings of the first nuclear weapons. In the middle, the Hiroshima bomb, which used uranium as an explosive. Behind it is the Nagasaki bomb, which used plutonium. Plutonium is a man-made element derived from uranium. In the foreground, a glove box for handling plutonium.
